Our 6-Month to 1 year School Program is a structured, progressive training experience designed to build reliable obedience, emotional stability, and real-world manners in dogs of all ages.This is not just daycare with training mixed in — it is a carefully designed curriculum that develops skills month by month, ensuring dogs can perform behaviors not only in the classroom, but in public settings and around real-life distractions.

What We Teach

During school, dogs learn and refine:

Sit, Down, and Duration Stays
Place (extended duration and distraction proofed)
Loose Leash Walking
Formal Heeling
Reliable Recall
Threshold and Doorway Manners
Down in Motion
Auto Sits
Rally-style exercises
Cooperative Care
Playgroup manners (approved dogs only)

For dogs struggling with reactivity or behavioral challenges, we incorporate structured prevention and resolution strategies into their program.

How It Works

Each behavior follows a three-step training progression:

Taught in the classroom
Generalized in public environments
Proofed under distraction

Dogs are worked daily in structured training scenarios to ensure skills are reliable on campus, off campus, and with their owners.

Why This Matters

Obedience isn’t about tricks.It’s about clarity, safety, and emotional stability.Most dogs don’t struggle because they’re stubborn. They struggle because expectations are inconsistent, structure is missing, or distractions are stronger than communication.Without a progressive plan, behaviors fall apart the moment the environment changes — at the park, in a store, when another dog walks by, when the doorbell rings. We don’t just teach commands. We build reliability. Most importantly we teach neutrality.

The 6-Month Progression

Month 1 – Foundation

Clear communication, structure, and installation of core obedience behaviors.

Month 2 – Impulse Control

Engagement around distractions, extended stays, and heel foundations.

Month 3 – Reliability

Distraction training, rally-style skills, and public field trips.

Month 4 – Refinement

Advanced control, extended duration work, and increased environmental pressure.

Month 5 – Real-World Application

Doorbells, sidewalk passes, dropped food, recall challenges, and structured scenario proofing.

Month 6 – Mastery

High-distraction reliability, emotional regulation, and full owner transfer.

Owner Involvement

Throughout the program, owners are kept informed of progress and coached on how to replicate results at home. Behaviors are not considered complete until they are reliable with the owner as well.
